  • Week 1 CAP Projects Workshop: We will be having a CAP workshop this Wednesday, April 3rd in Mathematical Sciences Room 5127 from 6-7pm for everyone to meet with their groups and continue working on their CAP projects! Please note the room change. Just as a reminder, abstracts for Undergraduate Research Week are due Monday, April 15th during Week 3 so this workshop would be a good time to work with your groups if all available!
  • Week 2 GM Hypertension & Blood Pressure Workshop: To prepare for the Total Wellness Health Fair, we will be having a general meeting on hypertension and blood pressure on Wednesday, April 10th from 6-7pm in MS 5127. If interested in taking part in the health fair, this will be a good opportunity to prepare! However, if you are interested in just learning more about hypertension & how to do blood pressure screenings in general, we welcome anyone to join us at this meeting! 😀
  • Week 2 BP Training: There will be a hypertension screening training session Week 2, Friday 4/12 from 7 pm to 10 pm at the Neuroscience Research Building Room 132. A training presentation will be given followed by a written test and and a practical exam. This training will prep you for future health fairs (such as the Total Wellness Health Fair coming up Week 3)! If interested please fill out the form and we’ll update you as we approach the date! Spots are limited.
  • Week 3 Social: We will be having a Week 3 Social at Meet Fresh on Wednesday, April 17th! If you plan on attending, please make sure to meet in front of the engineering turnaround @6:00pm where we will all be walking over to Meet Fresh together. If you get lost please reach out over discord. We hope to see you there!
  • Week 3 Health Fair: On Saturday, April 20th from 11am-3pm, we will be participating in the Total Wellness Health Fair where we will be teach on hypertension and also provide blood pressure screenings. The health fair will take place at Joe Sampson Park in Rialto, CA and transportation will be provided (we will leave early)! If interested please fill out this form as soon as possible, spots are limited!
  • Week 4 GM: The second general meeting of the quarter will be an MCAT workshop on Wednesday, April 24th from 6-7pm in MS 5127. Please note the room change! In this meeting, we aim to demystify and answer questions about the Medical College Admission Test. From breaking down the test sections to going through sample problems, we hope to give you all a comprehensive run-through of what to expect in an exam like this.
  • Week 5 BP Training: A hypertension screening training session will happen on Friday, May 3rd from 7-10 pm at the Neuroscience Research Building Room 132. The session starts with a training presentation and follows with a written test and practical exam at the end. This training will prep you for future health fairs (such as the Total Wellness Health Fair we had at Week 3)! If interested please fill out the form and we’ll update you as we approach the date! Spots are limited so sign up quickly!
  • Just Boba Fundraiser: We will be having a Just Boba Fundraiser on Friday, May 3rd from 3:00-9:00pm. Make sure to include “CMLA” in the order notes when ordering! This is also a great opportunity to grab some boba with friends so feel free to spread the word 🥹
  • APLA Volunteer Event: On Saturday, May 25th from 12-3PM, we will be volunteering at APLA NOLP in Downtown LA where we will be helping to package and deliver food and supplies for adults with HIV. Due to travel time, this event will likely be taking place from 11:30PM – 3:30PM! Transportation is provided. However, spots are limited so please fill out this form ASAP if interested!
  • Porto’s Bruinwalk Form: We will be having a Porto’s Bruinwalk fundraiser on Friday, May 24th from 9 am to 3pm! If you would like a specific order please fill out this pre order form in advance. Treat yourself to some YUMMY dulce du leche cookies, choco twists, and more while also supporting CMLA. Psst please spread the word! 😀
